This has been the only drug that really helps me when I need it-- I have tried probably 20 drugs in the past 2 years for anxiety, depression, panic, and mood swings. I do not take it every day. I only take it as needed if I'm having a panic attack or severe anxiety. A lot of people abuse it and take it every day--- it's not a bad drug, you just have to be educated and not abuse it. It should never be a long term, every day, drug. Do your research before just taking this medicine every day.

Hi I've been on alprazolam for 20 years I have a problem with low self-esteem due to chronic psoriasis. People staring at me feeling like an freak. Besides that I have always felt nervous inside, can't slow myself down. My mind can't focus always over thinking. So I started out on .25 mg through the years I kept needing my dosage increased. Now I take 2mg three times a day. Usually 2 times. Yes it's addicting but it works for me. I don't get high from them . They just keep my mind and body feeling more normal to me. I don't slur my words or sleep all the time. So they works for me and I'm thankful! Without alprazolam I start to panic big-time and that scares me. So if they work for you then take them.
